Besides the large roster of characters, there are eight different game modes to choose from. This includes, Splatters, Team Battle, Coin Launcher and more.

The biggest new addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the World of Light game mode, with over 800 separate battles to fight. The graphics are impressive, and the gameplay is as smooth as ever.

  • Crisp and clear graphics

From the creative minds of Naughty Dog, The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic game that transports you to a world ravaged by a deadly virus.

Players control Joel, a brutal survivor, who releases an angry young girl named Ellie. Ellie is immune to the virus and the duo must fight against the evil creatures that are attracted by the sounds of Ellie’s singing.

Naughty Dog does an incredible job of immersing the player in this haunting world. The Last of Us delivers with well-created characters, great acting and a story that will both shock you and keep you on the edge of your seat.

3. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the third installment of CD Projekt Red's popular RPG franchise, which follows a wandering monster slayer named Geralt.

Geralt is called back into action when he encounters a mysterious young woman, Ciri, who is being pursued by dangerous Fae leaders.

The game attracts a lot of older gamers who grew up with classics from The Elder Scrolls to Dark Souls, since the challenging combat, intriguing narrative and its incredible world put a smile on every one's face.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Pros:

  • Fun turn-based action RPG
  • Creative use of strategic tactics
  • Cures the boredom of the XCOM and Fire Emblem series
  • Can be played with both adults and kids

Cons:

  • Recommended for ages 17 and above, suggests the recommended rating
  • Doesn’t play out like a traditional Mario game

When Ubisoft announced at E3 2016 that they were working on a Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle game, nobody really reacted positively. However, the reviews of the game have been very positive thus far, with some gaming sites even calling the game as one of the best tactical games ever.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based strategy game developed by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan. The game features tactical combat between your favorite Mario characters and Rabbids. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was released on August 29, 2018.

6. FIFA 20 Standard Edition

(Switch)

Immerse yourself in FIFA 20 as you step onto the pitch in PES inspired gameplay. While the game can feel like it’s trying a bit too hard to be like Pro Evolution, there are tons of improvements that have come out quite nicely.

The Career mode is evolving and is now more in-depth and adds more choices and options and ways to control your career. The transfer system has been improved too, but that’s something that hurt the FIFA experience in the past. It’s much better this year, but still not quite on-point.

7. Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 + Arcade Game Series

Our rating: 6 / 10

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 + Arcade Game Series

Pros:

  • Original Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man gameplay remains intact
  • Great value for price

Cons:

  • Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 has limited value without DLC
  • The original is available on other consoles

The problem with Championship Edition 2 is that it is not a pacman sequel, meaning if you enjoyed the previous game, the sequel is not much to write home about. I can’t say it’s necessarily bad, especially if you don’t own the original Championship Edition, but be sure to check out the original if you are looking for classic Pac-Man. If you’re a modern gamer, it’s worth picking up as well, but you must own the DLC to acquire the full experience which isn’t cheap.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the #1 game in the world 2021?

One of the best indications of a game’s success is the amount of copies it sells. In terms of sheer volume, Pokemon GO still remains the number one best-selling game of all time with over 500 million downloads. While the numbers are rising at a slower rate than they were in 2016, it’s clear that this digital reality game is here to stay.

What are the top 5 games of 2021?

So, here are our choices for the best games of the decade as of September 2021. We’ve listed the top 5 in each category, which are definitely not all the top 5 games of the year. You may even be surprised to find out how many games were considered overall. In some cases, we had to weight one genre against another, which led us to make tough calls on the top 5.

We anticipate there will be even more gorgeous games by 2021, but time will tell. For now, here are the greatest games of the decade so far.

What is the #1 video game right now?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the best game being released right now, and it’s one that demands your attention. The game world is filled with a rich history, memorable characters, and a gritty, mature plot that puts most other games to shame. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is really an experience you must have to appreciate.

And fortunately, the game is fantastic. I can’t think of a single series of 2014 that could match this game for fun and gameplay. The combat and story are easily the best features of the game, but the other aspects are all top-notch as well.

Will 2021 be a good year for gaming?

The gaming industry looks to be in a positive place in calendar year 2021. Gaming has continued to thrive both commercially and critically, with many of the most exciting games of the past decade gracing the market. There also have been several new twists on game genres as well as several new concepts introduced.

Nintendo has bolstered the production of their handheld DS/3DS series of systems while Sony and Microsoft have continued their massive support of their respective home game consoles. Smartphone gaming has also continued to gain ground, and digital games such as Angry Birds are leading the way.

Conclusion
