When it comes to "cleaning your pipes" there are several different ways to get the job done and most are really quite effective, but if I had to pick one it would have to be the Johnny Jolter Power Plunger.
This is the best-made device you'll ever find for a plumbing job. The first thing you notice about it is its build quality. Heavy duty plastic, rubber, and stainless steel, this thing is built to last. It's also nice and compact, only 7" tall, 5" wide, and 7" long, so it's very easy to store and carry.
To use the plunger you place the head of it over the drain in the sink, and you can either use it with chemicals or without. The handle you hoist up to create suction below. When you lock the trigger on the handle you can lower the head of the plunger back down just at the right angle, so that as you plunge diagonally back down, the water runs through the wings of the head.
When you plunge back down, the head makes a popping noise and sends up a big cloud of foam and mist. Now all you can do is to rinse the sinks and countertop. I really love using chemicals to get rid of fat and grease.
