Our rating: 9 / 10

Blendtec 625 Blender

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • One of very few blenders with pre-programmed cycles
  • Good power for crushing ice, nuts, and seeds (better than Vitamix)
  • Blends both frozen and regular foods quickly
  • Very easy to clean and comes with an excellent tamper
  • Lifetime warranty on the base and motor
  • Sale

Cons:

  • Doesn't include capacity information; you'll have to guess how much volume to use depending on what is going in the jar
  • Best for high-speed blending; starts to struggle with low speed blending
  • Some units have broken within the first year due to having the carafe placed on the base upside-down
  • The motor sounds like a blender with a liquid in it even when empty
  • The lid can develop cracks over time

5 year warranty on parts and labor. 2 years on the blade, 5 years on the jar, and 10 years on the drive base.

Performance:

The Blendtec 625 model has four pre-programmed settings: smoothie, frozen drinks, ice crush, and clean.

2. Blendtec Professional 800 Blender

Our rating: 8 / 10

Blendtec Professional 800 Blender

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • Blendtec makes the best blenders you can find in this price range
  • Especially if you're a health conscious consumer
  • Smoothies and cold drinks come out perfect and the WildSide jar may be the best feature of the blender
  • It's also very easy to clean
  • Even the warranty is rated number one

Cons:

  • This blender is quite expensive
  • The WildSide jar will only chop foods and fruits not big vegetables like the regular jar

Blendtec is the best-selling high-power blender in the US, and it's priced around middle of the road, but still significantly more expensive than a regular blender.

Blendtec makes a specific line of blenders called Total Blenders, and the WildSide jar is specifically designed for a "smoothie or a thick gorgeously creamy concoction you can eat with a spoon".

It's a 2.5 quart jar and has a specially designed blade system that places the blade position separate from the wall of the jar. This allows for more contact with the walls of the jar and allows for more blending and less rushing.

Cons:

When it comes to kitchen-ware, Cuisinart is one of the best brands on the market. This model is the best Cuisinart blender so far …

We love the compact and ergonomic design. It sits perfectly on top of most counter tops. The pulse action makes it feel very powerful, making ice crushing no problem. There are also a number of personal settings, such as smoothie, puree, and so forth.

The stainless steel blade can also be removed and used manually. Most good blenders have the blender and the blade detachable because they usually take up less space when storing it. This is not a heavy duty blender and doesn’t perform at the same level as the Vitamix for example, but for the price you getting a lot of value.

6. Blendtec Designer 725 Blender

Our rating: 6 / 10

Blendtec Designer 725 Blender

Pros:

  • Powerful 300-watt engine
  • Precision timing to ensure a smooth blend
  • Large 725-watt motor
  • Quiet blender with a range of options to choose from

Cons:

  • No mention of jars
  • Overall pricey

Let’s start with the Blendtec Designer 725. I personally own this blender and have been using it for years without any problems. Its a workhorse. Blendtec has many different, higher-end models such as the Wildpro and Total blender. The blendtec has been a reputable company and is well known for their patented strong-blade technology.

The Blendtec Designer also comes with a self cleaning mode. Its really not that hard to clean but it does have to be done every week or so. The main difference between the Wildside and Wildpro is that I can click in my Wildside jar into the Wildpro base, whereas I have to buy the whole new Wildpro base with Wildside jar for the Total. I don’t know why, but I liked the Wildside jar better.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which brand of Blender is the best?

If you are looking for a powerful blender that can handle anything you throw at it, then Vitamix or Blendtec are your best bets. These are the 2 go-to brands in the industry for performance, power, and durability. They also tend to come with a steeper price tag, but they will last you a lifetime. If you are interested in the 5 best blenders of 2016, you can check out our full review here.

The Kenwood brand is also a step down from the 2 big names above, but it is also more affordable and comes with a wider variety of options that you can choose from. Some of the most popular models in this category are Kenwood’s Power Pro 300, the Power Pro 400, and the Kenwood Double-Geared Rocket Blender.

What is the best blender 2021?

There are a lot of good blenders on the market, but the best blender for crushing ice is the Ninja Master Prep (QB3001). Overall, this is a very powerful, versatile blender with excellent results on every test we put it through.

Another major benefit of this blender is its size. It is small compared to other commercial-quality blenders, yet has all the same features. In other words, it can crush ice, puree soup, and make smoothies half the volume of other blenders.

What is the best blender for everything?

If you are mixing a lot of ingredients, drinks, smoothies, and stuff like that (which most people are) you’d be better off getting a heavy duty blender like a Vitamix. Vitamixes are a great blender for everything and are one of the most popular high-end blenders around.

Vitamix is a brand in the US but they are actually an independent maker of blenders in other countries (where they are a lot more popular).

What is the best blender on the market right now?

There are plenty of factors that can make a blender great or not so great. That is why it’s important to have some perspective and see what the best blenders are in different categories. Here are the top 5 in each category:

Best Overall Blender: Blendtec Designer Series (Vitamix also comes in 2nd)

Best Affordable Blender: Blendtec Total Classic

Best Travel Blender: Blendtec Bullet

Best Blender for Soups: Vitamix 750

Conclusion
