The Envy 23 is due to ship in October 2012, The HP Pavilion 23 is going to be ready to ship in November 2012. This is an exciting advancement in design and performance and the release of both machines also signals HP entering the All-in-One PC market which they haven’t competed in previously.
The All-in-One, or AIO, market has been growing in popularity in recent years. It has been predicted that the all-in-one market will be the fastest growing computer market over the next few years. Many consumers now have limited space or don’t want to have a variety of devices cluttering their desk. This is an excellent fit for the AIO.
AIO’s come in two distinct flavors. The traditional all-in-one desktop and the all-in-one touchscreen. The HP Envy 23 and HP Pavilion 23 All-in-one machines announced all offer touchscreens and thus qualify as touchscreen AIO’s, but the HP Envy 23 even more so as it is convertible between AIO and tablet.
The Envy 23 and HP Pavilion 23 both run Windows 8 and have the 10-point touchscreen that is becoming almost standard on touchscreen all-in-one computers. Both also have webcam integration so you can make video calls.
